“O conhecimento ao serviço do Desenvolvimento Sustentável”
“Knowledge at the service of Sustainable Development”
Free access monthly lecture organized by Polytechnic of Leiria, where researchers gather to discuss and share science with society.
Sustainable Development is a challenge of extreme importance in the current context. The new European Commission's recent commitment to the European Green Deal, as well as UN efforts, not only represent the political importance of the issue, but also open up multiple job opportunities in areas that intersect with the R&D units of the Polytechnic of Leiria, such as the rational use of resources or the circular economy, with particular emphasis on the need for interdisciplinary collaboration. The workshop proposed by the research units INESCC-DL and CARME, seeks to explore not only what may be the crossing of their respective competences, but also what may come from the collaboration with the scientific community of the Polytechnic of Leiria, with companies and with the society in general.
